Chris Nickl (a Lindy Hopper since 2001) and Shirley McAdam (who started in the last millennium - 1999) have been dancing and teaching together since 2002.
They love dancing, performing, creating, and choreographing together, but they love teaching most of all. They’re locally famous (or infamous?) for their playful teaching style,
encouraging their students to laugh with them – or sometimes at them. They’re dedicated to making Lindy Hop and Balboa accessible to everyone and
truly shine when it comes to breaking things down to the simplest movements. Their “pre-dance” influences (Judo for Chris and gymnastics for Shirley) dovetail
beautifully to create magic for them on the dance floor. As founding members of Vermont Swings, they enthusiastically nurture a warm and welcoming Lindy Hop community and promote
